Major Sporting Events Pulling Out of North Carolina

September 14, 2016

In March, the state of North Carolina passed a controversial law that required transgendered individuals to use the restrooms in schools and government building that correspond to the sex listed on their birth certificate.  The state also excluded gender identity and sexual orientation from statewide ant-discrimination laws.  As a result, several big events have pulled out of North Carolina, including the NBA All Star game and 10 NCAA championships, including the ACC Football Championship.  If you have a question regarding discrimination, please contact your Tampa Employment Lawyer, Darren D. McClain.
