Florida Governor Creates Uniform Policy to Address Sexual Harassment Complaints

December 13, 2017

Florida Governor Rick Scott signed an executive order creating an uniform policy for State Agencies to address sexual harassment complaints.  The order instructs State agencies to designate a person to handle sexual harassment complaints who is not the victim’s immediate supervisor.  The order strictly prohibits any form of retaliation for reporting sexual harassment.  Additionally, the order requires that after the investigation, the victim is informed of the results of the investigation and the steps taken to address the complaint.  If you believe you have been a victim of workplace sexual harassment, contact your Tampa Employment Lawyer, Darren D.
