Judge Denies Tampa Bay Buccaneers Motion to Dismiss

March 22, 2016

A judge in a suit against  the Tampa Bay Buccaneers denied a motion to dismiss where a former player who contracted MRSA alleged that the Bucs created an unsafe, unsanitary work place.  The Bucs claimed that the former player’s exclusive remedy was through Florida’s workers’ compensation statutes.  The judge disagreed, ruling that the Bucs had a duty to provide a safe facility.  If you have workplace questions, please contact you Tampa Employment Lawyer, Darren McClain.
