Employers Are Required to Accommodate Disabilities

January 26, 2017

Covered employers are required to accommodate an employee’s disabilities as long as providing the accommodation would not present an undue hardship.  Thus, if an employee has a disability, the employee should inform his or her employer and the employer is then obligated to engage in an interactive process to determine what accommodations would allow the employee to perform the essential functions of the position.  If you have questions regarding disability discrimination, please contact your Tampa Employment Lawyer, Darren McClain.
